Dear Colleagues,

First, we would like to thank you for your enthusiasm regarding the 7th Interregional Meeting of National Commissions for UNESCO to be held in Lugano (Switzerland) from 25 to 29 May 2020. As you will easily understand, we unfortunately had to take the decision to postpone the event to a later date due to the expansion of COVID-19.

Rest assured that the intention of the Swiss Commission for UNESCO to welcome you in the coming months to exchange and contribute together to the preparation of the C/4 and C/5 documents, as well as to the aspects of UNESCO’s strategic transformation that concern the National Commissions, remains intact. This matters to us.

Participants who booked their hotel on their own, as well as their flights are encouraged to cancel their travel arrangements and hotel reservations, individually. The hotel reservations for the Head of Delegations, which have been made by the Swiss Commission for UNESCO will be cancelled automatically.
